Practical Application of Worldview: The Word

The Word of God, often we think of this as The Bible, but to get technical about it, that is not the case. We could say it’s actually His words, words He spoke and what took place as a result, all of which we have taken and compiled into a book we call The Bible. The Word of God (as this definition), was given in order to change lives, but does the Word of God (The Scriptures) does this saves lives? No, but it helps change them. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Simply put, it is not knowing His words that makes a person a man of God, but knowing The Word that makes someone a man of God. John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” We must know Christ, for He and the Word of God are one. John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
